 Prof. (Dr.) Maruthi T.R. is a highly respected figure in the realms of international law and human rights, renowned for his extensive contributions to the field of legal education and research. His professional journey has been marked by unwavering commitment and dedication, with a career spanning over two decades at the University of Mysore.

 In terms of his academic credentials, Professor Maruthi holds multiple degrees, including an M.A., LL.M., and a Ph.D., with a specialization in International Law, particularly in the areas of Human Rights and the Law of the Sea. His educational achievements stand as a testament to his unyielding passion for the study of law. Within the academic sphere, Professor Maruthi has risen to prominence as a guiding force for countless students and scholars. Having mentored and supervised over 20 Ph.D. candidates in their research pursuits, he has made substantial contributions to the academic community.

 Notably, his appointment as the Dean of the Faculty of Law at a relatively young age underscores his exceptional leadership qualities. Professor Maruthi's impact extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by his prolific research output. He has authored and published over 100 international research articles and papers, with a primary focus on critical issues within international law, human rights, and the law of the sea.
